Introducing Zoom Workspace Reservation at UCSF

Zoom Workspace Reservation was selected as the UCSF solution for a unified enterprise solution for on-site room and workspace reservations across UCSF. The process for implementing Zoom Workspace Reservation at UCSF will occur in phases beginning September 1st, 2025.

What is Zoom Workspace Reservation

Zoom Workspace Reservation is a feature available within Zoom that allows users to identify, select, and reserve on-site workspaces or rooms at UCSF. Zoom Workspace Reservation was identified and selected because of its focus on efficiency, scalability, user experience, and integration with existing tools. This means that you can reserve a workspace or desk from within the Zoom application that you utilize every day! Review more information about Zoom Workspace Reservation

To assist you with using Zoom Workspace Reservation, training materials have been created to demonstrate common processes. Learn more about Zoom Workspace Reservation on the web or desktop and mobile devices.

Benefits of Zoom Workspace Reservation

  • Integrates into existing UCSF systems such as Outlook and Zoom
  • Provides utilization data for UCSF shared spaces
  • Simplified interface for ease of use for early and increased adoption
  • Accessible across Zoom platforms such as web, desktop, and mobile devices

Phase one locations

Zoom Workspace Reservation will be implemented with a phased approach in select locations beginning September 1st, 2025. The following locations will be included within Phase One launch of Zoom Workspace Reservation:

  • Hotel Hub at Mission Bay - WGVCV 3rd Floor

  • EVCP - WGVCV 4th Floor

  • SOM – various spaces

  • UDAR – 2001 Embarcadero & UCOP space

  • FAS – MCB & WGVCV

In future phases, UCSF will roll out access to more work locations. After you have used Zoom Workspaces at a Phase one location, be sure to submit the Zoom Workspace survey to assist with improving the use of the application at UCSF!
