The University of California policy and California state laws and regulations require our digital services, information, and programs to be accessible to people with disabilities. All digital assets, including websites, web and mobile applications, digital documents (such as PDFs, Word documents, and PowerPoint presentations), videos, audio recordings, social media, and course content must meet federal accessibility requirements by April 24, 2026, and beyond.

At UCSF, we are committed to ensuring that people of all abilities can access, benefit from, and contribute to USCF’s digital information, programs, and services. UCSF is committed to protecting the civil rights of every individual, and in doing so, building upon our strong culture of belonging.

Accessibility Is Everyone’s Responsibility

Accessibility isn’t a niche issue or a compliance checkbox – it’s a collective effort. The Digital Accessibility Compliance Project (DACP) provides tools and resources to help you ensure that websites, applications, documents, videos, social media, and course content are accessible to all. Ask A11y, the custom DACP virtual assistant (use the chat bubble in the bottom right corner), to help answer your questions and find content.
