Installing Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN on iOS and Android Devices

Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN can be installed to your iOS and Android mobile devices to securely access the UCSF network. The following instructions will assist you with the process of self-installing Palo Alto GlobalProtect VPN to your iOS and Android devices from the Intune Company Portal. NOTE: Prior to working through these steps, you will need Microsoft Intune installed to your device. Learn more about installing Microsoft Intune to mobile devices.

Installing Palo Alto Global Protect VPN to iOS Devices

NOTE: Prior to working through these steps, you will need Microsoft Intune installed to your iOS device. Learn more about installing Microsoft Intune to mobile devices.

  1. Select the Comp Portal icon on your iOS device.

  2. Select the Apps icon in Intune.

  3. Select the View all apps link on the Apps screen.

  4. Locate and select the GlobalProtect option.

  5. On the GlobalProtect screen, select the Install button.

  6. When prompted with the App Installation screen, select the Install button.

  7. Return to your device's home screen and verify the presence of the GlobalProtect icon.

  8. Congratulations! You have successfully installed Palo Alto GlobalProtect to your iOS device.

Installing Palo Alto Global Protect VPN to Android Devices

NOTE: Prior to working through these steps, you will need Microsoft Intune installed to your Android device. Learn more about installing Microsoft Intune to mobile devices.

  1. On your Android device, select your Work profile.
  2. Select Company Portal icon.

  3. Select the three lines in the top left corner of Intune.

  4. Select the Get Apps option.

  5. Click the GlobalProtect icon.

  6. Click the Install button.

  7. Return to your Work profile and verify the presence of the GlobalProtect icon.

  8. Congratulations! You have successfully installed Palo Alto GlobalProtect to your Android device.
