Update Your Password in Outlook (Windows)

Overview

To clear all your saved passwords from your PC, you will need to open the Credential Manager in Windows. Once you've cleared the passwords stored in Windows, you'll be able to relaunch Outlook and log into the application with your newly created password.

NOTE: After updating your Outlook password on your computer, be sure to Enroll the Mobile Device in Intune Company Portal.

Steps to follow

  1. To open Windows Credential Manager, open Control Panel and locate Credential Manager.

  2. Open Credential Manager and check if there’s a saved password, using your Active Directory account (e.g., Box Sync, Outlook, Exchange Online).

  3. Remove anything with Domain\Username or First.Last@ucsf.edu.

Outlook 2010, 2013, 2016

After clearing the password using Credential Manager:

  1. Close Outlook and relaunch.
  2. You will be prompted to input your password.
  3. Input your password and check the box Remember my credentials.
