Digital Accessibility Compliance Project

UCSF is committed to protecting the civil rights of every individual and fostering a culture of full inclusion and belonging. We aim to ensure that everyone can access, benefit from, and contribute to our digital information, programs, and services. The deadline for ADA Title II digital accessibility compliance has been moved to April 26, 2027. The U.S. Department of Justice has extended the deadline by one year. The UC Information Technology Accessibility Policy (ITAP) still requires conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA by April 24, 2026. By then, all content owners will need to prioritize, assess, and fix websites, applications, and content to ensure compliance. More details in the updated June 5 UCnet article Update on digital accessibility compliance.
