The Accordions component within How-To content provides content editors with the ability to condense the length of their pages. This component can be leveraged on Frequently Asked Questions pages to simplify the user experience.
Introduction
The Accordions component on the IT Website allows for content editors to condense the length of their How-To page content. This component is tailor made for simplifying the design and structure of content on How-To page. Accordions can be utilized to create Frequently Asked Questions pages that are organized and simple to navigate by the end user.
Accordions can be added to new or existing How-To content. Learn more about creating How-To content.
Adding an Accordion Block to Content
Step1
Add an Accordion block to new or existing Service or How-To page.
Select the downward arrow on the Add Text Block menu.
Step2
Select the Add Accordion option.
Step3
Add an Accordion Header.
Add an Accordion Header, if you plan on having multiple sets of accordions on your How-To page. Accordion headers will be used to create the right-hand navigation on How-To pages.
Step4
Enter an Accordion Title.
Enter an Accordion Title to highlight the content specific to that accordion (e.g., How do I create an Accordion?).
Step5
Enter the Accordion Body.
Enter the Accordion Body to highlight the information related to the title.
NOTE: You can add format the text as well as use images and videos within the Accordion Body field.
Step6
Click Add Accordion to add more accordions.
NOTE: If you would like to include sections of different accordions, select the downward arrow on the Add Text Block menu and the Add Accordion option. Be sure to add an Accordion Section Header to separate each section of accordions thematically.
Step7
Click Save to save your new or existing Service or How-To page.
