Wireless Services

UCSF's wireless service provides an alternative to traditional wired connectivity.Supporting most wireless devices using 802.11a/b/g/n, it is the recommended method of network access at most locations, and it is widely available in clinical, research and administrative buildings.Guest access is also provided for visitors and non-UCSF business communications.

Listserv

Information Technology's electronic mailing lists (listservs) for the UCSF community to support and promote the mission of the University: teaching, research, patient care, and community service.Listserv owners must be UCSF faculty, staff, or learners. Learners need to have a faculty or staff sponsor to request a listserv.PHI or other protected data is not allowed on the listservs. Targeted information to get started with the UCSF listserv:

EZproxy

EZproxy is available to enable you to access library resources from off-campus using your MyAccess login. To learn more, see https://www.library.ucsf.edu/services/remote.

Smartsheet

Everyone with a @ucsf.edu email address has access to Smartsheet via Myaccess.ucsf.edu. However, a separate license will need to be purchased to create sheets and own sheets or to access premium features. For FY24, the license cost is $286 per user, though it may be pro-rated depending on when you request the license.

MATLAB

MATLAB Access for Everyone at UCSFUCSF has a Total Academic Headcount (TAH) license allowing campus-wide access to MATLAB, Simulink and a variety of add-on products. All faculty, researchers and learners can use MATLAB on their personal computers and laptops.
