Important Notice to Managers

October 6, 2021 - Updated

What's changing for non-career (temporary) employees who attempt to access Medical Center IT Applications?

Effective 4/28/2010, The IT department will automatically block access to Medical Center computers for: Non employees (Includes Residents, Fellows, Learners, Affiliates, Contractors, Temps, Volunteers, and Vendors) whose end date has passed in the Bravura (fka Hitachi) Identity System. (This is the end date you indicated in your temporary employee’s initial hiring process).

How does this change affect me?

Your temporary employees whose expiration dates have passed will no longer be able to logon to their computers or access any Medical Center hospital- systems (APeX, Email, Voalte, etc..). Important Note: To check or update your employee’s expiration date, please refer to the contact information below.

Plan Early. Remember that extending your Temp's end date requires prior Senior Leadership approval.

What you need to do if you have a temporary employee at or near their appointment end date:

  2. If you currently use the Account Request Form (ARF) to extend your employee’s end date, you can continue to do so, once affiliation is updated.
