How to access
To access UCSF templates, you must:
- Be signed in to Microsoft 365 with your UCSF account
- Have Microsoft 365 desktop applications installed
- Be connected to the internet and VPN
Description
UCSF provides approved Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint templates to help ensure documents and presentations follow UCSF branding, accessibility standards, and approved formatting.
These templates are available directly within Microsoft 365 applications and can be used when creating new files:

NOTE: Microsoft currently supports organization templates in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
desktop applications. PowerPoint for the web also supports organization templates. Word for the
web and Excel for the web do not currently support organization templates.

Requirements and Limitations
To access templates in Microsoft 365, you will need a desktop application or web browser (Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge are recommended for the best experience) and a UCSF email address. NOTE: Microsoft Templates are not available via Word for the Web and Excel on the Web.
