Description

Microsoft Stream (on SharePoint) is an enterprise video service where people in the organization can upload, view, and share videos securely.

There are two limitations to using Microsoft Stream (on SharePoint): Videos can only be shared internally with other individuals within UCSF and Stream (on SharePoint) videos cannot be embedded within webpages.

The features and platform for Microsoft Stream were integrated within Microsoft SharePoint and any videos saved to old platform have been migrated to SharePoint automatically by UCSF IT. This means that any future videos will need stored initially within SharePoint before being shared internally with colleagues and stakeholders.

Benefits

  • All your videos in one place on any device - Watch videos from across the organization in the Stream (on SharePoint) application or in other applications you use every day -  on any device.
  • Manage and organize content - Microsoft Stream (on SharePoint) assists with organizing content in a secure location and offers a method to share video content within the enterprise.
  • Drive engagement across your audiences - Create and deliver video with high-quality playback  from your desktop, tablet or mobile.
  • Deliver more effective learning - Increase engagement and knowledge retention for training and education; enable everyone to contribute with peer-to-peer information sharing.
