Office 365: Connecting Evolution to Exchange Online
- Audience: Faculty, Staff, Student
- Service Category: Email & Collaboration
- Owner Team: Email and Office 365
If you use Linux and prefer a desktop email application to the excellent Outlook webmail client then you have a new option. Gnome Evolution with Exchange Web Services support (evolution-ews) version 3.27.91 and later support OAuth2, which means you can connect Evolution to Exchange Online (UCSF's email service). Install Evolution with EWS support from your favorite application source.
This documentation is provided without support, but it has been tested successfully with Evolution 3.44.4-0ubuntu1 on Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS.
