Problem/Request

IT has been working to improve services by streamlining the process to submit tickets to fix common computer hardware issues on clinical workstations in areas such as nursestations, bedsides, exam rooms, WOWs, and registration.

Prerequisites

  • Computer is a BCH Oakland IT supported device
  • Computer is in an Inpatient and Outpatient clinical patient care area
  • Computer and computer peripherals have hardware issues

The new IT – Fix this Computer button is not intended to replace the existing methods for contacting IT for support, but as a supplement for reporting computer hardware issues in clinical patient care areas. 

For login assistance, password, software, or APeX issues, please contact the IT Service Desk by calling 510-428-3885 x4357 or opening a Get IT Help ticket from the UCSF IT Service Portal.
