Assigned phone user performs a direct, non‑administrative emergency response role (e.g., 911 response, ED/Trauma, law enforcement, dispatch, emergency management).

- Emergency Room Physician or Surgeon
- Emergency or Critical Care Nurse
- Anesthesiologist or Nurse Anesthetist
- Radiologist supporting emergency or trauma care
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic
Public Safety roles
- UCSF Police Officer (Sworn Law Enforcement)
- Public Safety Dispatcher or Emergency Communications
Support Emergency Response
Assigned phone user works a scheduled role and is required by their job to respond during or after emergencies in support of public safety or command‑and‑control functions.

Emergency operations and command support
- Hospital Emergency Operations or Incident Command staff
- Essential command-and-control or coordination roles during emergencies
Healthcare roles with emergency response expectations (non‑ER)

- Radiologist or Respiratory Therapist supporting emergency response
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Primary Care Technician*
